Instagram is a great way to share photos and videos with your friends and other fans of your life, clothes, lifestyle or the great photos you take. And of course, others do that to! If you stumble across a great picture or video on your feed, you can admire it, like it, comment, or even send it forward to other Instagram users. But that’s about all you can do when it comes to sharing Instagram posts with other people.
But what if you want to share someone’s posts with your Facebook friends? Or save the image or video on your phone?
Usually, you would have to install yet another app to download and save photos and videos from Instagram. Do you really want that? Packing your phone with even more apps that, in most cases, also add features you don’t want or need or even ads? Also, if you are looking at Instagram profiles on a computer, taking a screenshot and cropping the image can become tedious as well. Let alone that you’d need a screen recorder to save the videos and even have to edit them afterwards to fit.
Luckily, there is a way easier way that doesn’t require any download, installation or payment!

Save Photos & Videos From Instagram!
With Online-Convert.com, saving and storing photos as well as videos from Instagram is easy and fast to do. And it doesn’t cost a thing! Following, we will show you how to do so directly from your smartphone.
For demonstration, we decided to use the lively Instagram profile from National Geographic.
How To Save Instagram Photos
First, lets have a look on how to save photos. For this, you’ll need to open both your Instagram app and a browser on your phone (we are using Chrome on an Android phone).
1. Open a picture on Instagram and tap on the three vertical dots.
2. Choose “Copy Share URL” to copy the URL of the post to your clipboard.
3. Open your browser and go to Online-Convert.com.
4. Scroll down to find the “Image converter” and choose the format you want (we suggest either PNG or JPG).
5. Paste the link from your clipboard into the URL field.
6. Scroll down and tap on “Convert file”.
7. Wait until the conversion is done. We did this on an Android phone which means our file was automatically stored in the “Download” folder of our phone.
How To Save Instagram Videos
Saving videos from Instagram results in an even better conversion as you will see below. Again, all you need is to open both your Instagram app and a browser.
1. Open a video on Instagram and tap on the three vertical dots.
2. Choose “Copy Share URL” to copy the URL of the video to your clipboard.
3. Open your browser and go to Online-Convert.com.
4. Scroll down to find the “Video converter” and choose the format you want (3GP or 3G2 are optimized for mobile phones, but you can also choose MP4).
5. Paste the link from your clipboard into the URL field and scroll down to tap on “Convert file”.
6. Wait until the conversion is done. We did this on an Android phone which means our file was automatically stored in the “Download” folder of our phone.
